We use European alder, beech and poplar timber for our wooden shoes. The nature of the design determines which wood is used.

Alder timber
Most of our wooden shoes are made of alder timber, as this is relatively heavy and robust. We use it for all our low wooden soles. The grain can vary, which means each pair is unique.

Beech
The Hopper sole is made out of beech, which is very tough and therefore especially suitable for thin soles.

Poplar
We use poplar for our chunky high heels, because it is lighter than beech or alder timber.
