Soft, vegetable-tanned leather with white wax glazing that resembles an uneven layer of frost and does, however, easily wear away with use. Sensitive to water stains, scratches and heat. Dirt can hardly be removed as friction and heat take off the wax glazing.

ipo
Buffalo leather with a dark basis. The lighter colour is achieved by etching the surface. Due to this process also the distribution of colour becomes irregular. Matte finish. The surface shows all natural characteristics of the skin like scratches, marks or creases. Can soak moisture fairly quickly despite having been treated with waterproof spray and in some cases change its colour substantial.

lav
Chrome-tanned, denim-lined goat or sheepskin that is washed at high temperatures and subsequently dyed by hand. The result of this time-consuming process is a batik effect with uneven colouring that makes every shoe unique. Unfortunately this high fashion material does not meet the usual Trippen quality standard. The colour can bleed and the leather can stretch unevenly. For us this material is to be understood as a piece of art. Not recommended for people with chrome allergies.

Should not be exposed to moisture or heat. The bright colours are resistant to fading. Not recommended for people with chrome allergies.

mfl
Chrome-tanned elk or deer leather. The surface has been “shrunk” in an elaborate process which results in a heavily textured surface and irregular grain structure. Extremely soft and flexible. Gets softer with use, may stretch substantially and generally ages faster than other leather. Sensitive to surface abrasions and stains. Not recommended for people with chrome allergies. The dye can stain your feet.

mse
Chrome-tanned nubuck leather. Tumbled and treated richly with oil; therefore extremely soft in its look and surface feel. It is sensitive to moisture and staining and rather difficult to clean and thus should be treated with waterproofing spray prior to use. Not recommended for people with chrome allergies.
