The new Trippen Box collection features modern interpretations of platform soles, where the contact surface has been reduced to two cuboids. The rubber sole is sewn to the upper using a thick yarn. With the objective of simplifying the product´s subsequent disposal, the seam between the sole and the shaft can be unravelled easily. Both parts - sole and shaft - can be recycled separately.


The soles´ rubber material and the embedded air chambers provide optimal shock absorption, while the full grain leather insole stabilises the construction and guarantees an excellent fit. Thus the Box collection was awarded with the Good Design Award 2009.		 close window
The soles´ formal inspiration is derived from a deconstruction of the platform, while their height was inspired by contemporary basketball high tops.
The variety of styles ranges from designs whose multiple overlays and asymmetrically arranged pattern pieces pay homage to the Italian design group »Memphis« and little lace ups to fashionable high and tight boots.
