All chrome-tanned leathers are not suitable for people with chrome allergies. In case of a chrome allergy please take only those shoes made from purely vegetable-tanned leather into consideration.
Pull-up buffalo leather (pub) has been treated with oil and wax. Please take care with light-coloured clothing as the oil can leave stains.
Fur (pny, mon, cap) can mat or be damaged by friction and may wear off. Surface dirt should be brushed off carefully.
The uppers of our wooden shoes are made from leather and can stretch. If the uppers stretch, please return the shoes for repair. Otherwise the uppers may not offer enough support and accidents cannot be completely ruled out.
The patent leather used on the wooden shoes can break if put under strain. When buying these shoes please make sure that they fit correctly.

Soles
All soles can pick up small stones and other sharp objects as well as dirt. Dark soles may also leave marks on light coloured surfaces. Therefore please clean the soles of your shoes thoroughly and do not wear your shoes on delicate surfaces.
The soles on our shoes are soft and flexible and have been designed for use in urban surroundings only. They are not suitable for sharp-edged, uneven surfaces, like in the mountains or on stone beaches. Please also pay attention to sharp objects in your urban surroundings such as metal grids or staircases, though, as these can also damage the rubber. Slowing down your scooter or bicycle with your shoes or walking on hot tarmac will also do irreversible damage to the soles.
If the soles of your Closed or wooden shoes are worn down, please return them in time to have them resoled (prices on demand) as otherwise the shoes can be damaged beyond repair.

Please do not put pressure on the front of the soles and avoid activities such as kneeling as the seams may snap and parts of the sole could become detached.
Our soles are made from rubber or crepe and can be slippery. Please take extra care on wet, icy or badly soiled surfaces as well as on sandy ground and also be aware of any objects that could trip you up. Leaves, banana skins, garbage, oil stains, wet tiles or any other slippery surface can be especially dangerous. Please also keep in mind that crepe and rubber soles can become statically charged.
