Trippen × Sól Hansdóttir

A Meeting of zero waste and ecological design.

The first collaboration between Trippen and Icelandic designer Sól Hansdóttir is a sculptural exploration of form, function, and sustainability.
The partnership unites Trippen’s pioneering ecological design philosophy with Hansdóttir’s anti-disciplinary and expressive approach to fashion.

Based in London, Sól Hansdóttir is known for her fluid, experimental process — reimagining materials beyond their expected use and redefining notions of beauty and adornment.
Her collections often incorporate locally sourced Icelandic handcraft, end-of-life fabrics, and alternative textiles discovered outside the traditional fashion supply chain.
Together, Trippen and Sól Hansdóttir merge two distinct yet kindred visions: radical design rooted in ecological awareness, reinterpreting the everyday shoe through expressive forms, unconventional material juxtapositions, and a shared belief in the transformative power of responsible design.

Hamur

Hamur, the shoe, and Sokkur, the leg warmer, form a modular design that invites transformation.
Hamur’s graphic, architectural silhouette can be seamlessly extended with Sokkur — a sculptural leg warmer crafted from dead-stock Icelandic and Danish boiled wool.
Designed in a zero-waste cut and produced on pre-order in London, Sokkur continues the collaboration’s commitment to responsible and adaptable design.
